AI Image Provenance Detection
Askify AI Bot supports AI image provenance detection through the /provenance command.
When you reply to an image and send /provenance, the bot will inspect the file for AI-related traces such as:
- Content credentials like
C2PA - Metadata hints left by image tools or generation services
- Vendor markers such as
OpenAIorgpt-image
What You Can Do
- Check whether an image contains clear AI-generation traces
- See whether the image includes content credentials
- Review the main matched traces in a simple chat reply
- Keep a SHA256 hash as a stable file fingerprint when needed
How To Use It
- Reply to a photo or image file in Telegram.
- Send
/provenance. - Wait for Askify AI Bot to analyze the image.
- Review the returned provenance summary in chat.
What The Result Includes
The bot may return:
- A simple result summary such as whether clear AI traces were found
- Whether content credentials were detected
- Main matched traces in plain language
- The image SHA256 hash
Notes
- This feature checks whether the file still contains usable AI-related traces
- If a platform has recompressed or re-exported the image, some traces may already be gone
- Sending the original image as a file usually preserves more metadata than sending it as a compressed photo
- If the bot says no clear AI traces were found, it means no usable evidence was detected in that file, not that the image is guaranteed to be non-AI
Commands
