AI Scheduled Tasks

AI Scheduled Tasks let you create your own prompt-based automation in the Askify AI Bot Mini App.

At the scheduled time, Askify AI Bot will run your prompt with the selected model and send the result to the targets you selected.

You can open the page from the Mini App, or use the /scheduled command in Telegram.

What You Can Do

  • Create personal AI tasks that run every day at a selected hour
  • Choose the output language and timezone for each task
  • Select the OpenRouter model used to generate the result
  • Send the generated message to yourself, groups, channels, or a topic
  • Deliver one task to up to 3 targets
  • Edit, pause, resume, or delete tasks at any time

Before You Create a Task

AI Scheduled Tasks require your own OpenRouter API key.

Before creating a task:

  1. Open /settings in the Mini App.
  2. Bind your OpenRouter API key.
  3. Confirm that OpenRouter models are available in the model list.

If you do not bind OpenRouter first, the scheduled task page will show a reminder and you will not be able to save a task.

How to Create a Task

  1. Open the AI Scheduled Tasks page.
  2. Tap Add scheduled task.
  3. Enter a task name.
  4. Select one or more delivery targets.
  5. Choose the execution cycle and time.
  6. Select the language and timezone.
  7. Choose an OpenRouter model.
  8. Enter your prompt.
  9. Save the task.

After the task is enabled, the bot service will run it automatically at the selected time.

Delivery Targets

Each task belongs to your own account, but the generated result can be delivered to other places.

Supported targets:

  • Your own Saved Messages / self chat
  • Groups you can manage
  • Channels you can manage
  • A topic inside a supported group

One task can send to up to 3 targets.

If you choose a group or channel, make sure the related bot still has permission to send messages there.

Prompt and Output

Each task is prompt-based.

Typical examples:

  • Summarize the most important AI news today into 3 short points
  • Generate a short market briefing for my Telegram channel
  • Search for important product updates and write a concise daily digest

The generated result is sent directly as a Telegram message after it is created.

Scheduling Rules

The current version is focused on a simple daily schedule.

You choose:

  • Daily execution
  • A specific hour
  • The timezone used to interpret that time

This means a task can run at 08:00 every day in your selected timezone, even if the server itself uses another timezone internally.

Notes and Limits

  • OpenRouter is required
  • One user can create up to 20 AI scheduled tasks
  • One task can have up to 3 delivery targets
  • The task runs with the model you selected when saving it
  • If you lose permission to a target group or channel, delivery can fail

Commands

  • /scheduled: Open the AI Scheduled Tasks page
  • /settings: Bind your OpenRouter API key and manage model-related settings
