Trusted report mute

Trusted report mute allows qualified group members to quickly deal with abusive messages by replying to a message and using a command. The bot will temporarily mute the target user and notify the group manager for review.

What this feature is

This feature is designed for groups that want trusted members to help with fast moderation.

When a qualified member uses it successfully:

  • the target user is temporarily muted for 10 minutes
  • the reported message is deleted
  • the operator’s points are deducted according to the configured setting
  • a review notification is sent

Which command to use

Members use:

/reportmute

but they must use it as a reply to the target message.

How to use it

  1. The group creator or super administrator enables Trusted report mute in the bot management page
  2. A member replies to the abusive message
  3. The member sends /reportmute
  4. If the member meets the configured score requirement, the bot will process the action

Who can use it

Not every member can use this feature.

The group manager can set:

  • the minimum available score required before using it
  • how many points are deducted per successful use

If the deduction per successful use is set to 0, no user points will be deducted.

So this feature is usually reserved for trusted members with enough score.

What members will see

After success, the bot will show:

  • how many points were deducted this time (if this is set to 0, no points are deducted)
  • how many points remain
  • confirmation that the target user was muted

Important usage rule

The command must be used by replying to the message you want to report.

If it is not used as a reply, the bot cannot know which user should be muted.
